Privacy Policy

What stays on your device

• • Your chat history and screenshots are stored locally on your computer.
• • API keys (if you bring your own) are stored in the Windows Credential Manager — encrypted by the OS, never written to a plain file and never sent to us.
• • Settings are stored locally.

What is sent, and to whom

• • Captured content (the image region, text, or audio you submit) is sent to our AI providers — Anthropic (Claude, for vision and text) and Groq (Whisper, for voice) — solely to produce your response.
• • Requests go from your PC directly to the provider using your own API key. They do not pass through any Frostle server, and we never see your captures, responses or key.

Account & billing data

There is none. Frostle has no accounts, no sign-in and no payments, so we collect no identity, contact or billing information whatsoever. Your API key is stored only in the Windows Credential Manager on your own PC.

How providers use your data

The AI providers you supply keys for (such as Anthropic and Groq) process the data you send them under their own privacy policies. We select providers that do not train foundation models on submitted business/API content by default, but you should review their policies for the current terms.

Retention & your choices

• • You can delete local history from within the app at any time.
• • Deleting the app, and removing the key from Settings, removes everything Frostle holds — there is no server-side copy to request deletion of.
• • Data retention for your AI requests is governed by your provider, under your own account with them.

Children

Frostle is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
